Teacher Page |
New York State Standards Addressed: Standard 1: Analysis, Inquiry, and Design Students will use mathematical analysis, scientific inquiry, and engineering design, as appropriate, to pose questions, seek answers, and develop solutions. |
Goals: · Students will understand the importance of statistics. · Students will be able to display their data clearly. · They will understand why different groups offer different responses. · They will see different areas of real life where statistics is in motion. · Students will be engaged in learning, in a different style, why statistics exist. |
Suggestions: · 40 surveys might be a lot you may want to have students not survey so many people. · Maybe limit their choices. Sometimes when they have so many options it’s hard for them to make a decision. |
